Being broke is starting to affect Will's game - poker game that is. When he tries to bet with tortilla chips, Crosby suggests he write some new songs. Will already has new songs; he just lacks music industry contacts. It just so happens that Andy is friends with Tammy Idalis from "Toddler Time Sing-Along," who's married to big-time music producer, Johnny Idalis. In fact, Andy's been invited to their son Joshie's bar mitzvah. Will strong-arms Andy into ditching his pregnant wife and bringing him along as his plus one, so he can pass Mr. Idalis his new songs. Meanwhile, Fiona and Chris are enjoying an afternoon in bed. Fiona kills the mood by asking him to sneak out the back door before Marcus comes home. When Chris suggests it's time to tell Marcus about their relationship, Fiona agrees, then shoves a half-naked Chris through the dumbwaiter shaft into Will's apartment, where his boxers are on display for the whole poker-playing gang.

The next day at school, Shea invites Marcus to hang out the following night. Unfortunately, Marcus will be stuck home with the babysitter while Fiona goes on another one of her mysterious nocturnal outings. Shea pressures him into convincing his mom to let him stay home alone, then inviting her over. Marcus makes his case to Fiona, promising to text her every 30 minutes. She finally agrees to give him a chance, then attempts to come clean about Chris, but chickens out.

The following night, Andy takes Will to the bar mitzvah at the ritzy Chapman Hotel and introduces him to the Idalises. They immediately assume Will and Andy are gay and think it's fabulous! Seeing his in, Will plays along, forcing Andy onto the ride. But they're not the only ones pretending. Fiona gets to Chris' house and lets him believe she told Marcus about them. Meanwhile back at her house, Marcus has just invited Shea over for some hot crossword puzzle action, but she has a better idea: party crashing. Marcus hesitates, but Shea insists: it's time for him to become a man. As fate would have it, they end up crashing Joshie's bar mitzvah. There, Johnny Idalis has taken Will and Andy aside to ask for a very personal favor. His son Joshie is clearly gay and in the closet. Johnny wants Will and Andy to talk to him and coax him out. He'll owe them one. Will is on it. After a showy slow dance with a resistant Andy, Will attempts to start a conversation with Joshie, but scares the boy away instead.

Meanwhile Marcus is stressing over some missed texts from Fiona. When Shea gets annoyed, he puts the phone away without answering, which sends Fiona into a panic. After Fiona and Chris hurry home to find Marcus gone, Chris activates the Find My Kids app on her phone and tracks Marcus down at the hotel. What is he doing there? Having the time of his life, that's what. Will is killing it too; he's the life of the party. But just when he finally gets the chance to pass his flash-drive full of songs to Johnny, Marcus spots him, followed by Fiona. Fiona wants to know why Will is stroking Andy; Marcus wants to know why Fiona is with Mr. Chris, and Johnny wants to know if anyone was actually invited to his son's bar mitzvah. Everyone's got a lot of explaining to do! Will trails Johnny, groveling for a second chance when Joshie comes to his aid. Watching Will and Andy all night made him realize there's nothing more pathetic than pretending to be something you're not. With that, he finally comes out to his dad. Then Andy sings the Toddler Time forgiveness song - which apparently doesn't work on non-toddlers. Johnny promptly kicks Andy and Will out.

Back home, Marcus and Fiona are in a standoff. Not okay with the whole Fiona-Chris thing, Marcus storms to his room. Fiona sings a lullaby to him through the closed bedroom door. Marcus doesn't open up, but she can hear him quietly singing along. There is hope.
