It's been three weeks since the girls approached Martha Stewart, and they haven't heard anything from her yet. Caroline reassures Max that things will work out, but her confidence is shattered when her lucky pearl necklace breaks. Without the necklace, Caroline starts to doubt that the girls' business will ever find success, a fear that is compounded when cupcake vending machines start popping up all over the city. No longer believing in luck, Caroline decides that it is time for the girls to pay Martha Stewart a visit. Meanwhile, Han decides to install an automated cash register in the diner and Oleg tries to convince Sophie to be exclusive.
