In a war-torn feudal Japan where demons roam freely, a young man named Hyakkimaru embarks on a brutal quest to reclaim his stolen body. Born without limbs, skin, eyes, or even a face—sacrificed by his own father to demons in exchange for power over the land—Hyakkimaru has survived thanks to prosthetics and a fierce will to live. Guided by a mysterious power that allows him to sense the demonic presences that hold his missing body parts, he slays these creatures one by one, each victory restoring a piece of his humanity. His solitary, bloody journey is interrupted when he meets Dororo, a clever and spirited young orphan thief who decides to join him. Together, this unlikely pair travels through a ravaged landscape, facing monstrous foes and the dark consequences of the pact that cursed Hyakkimaru. The series masterfully blends visceral action with a poignant exploration of identity, sacrifice, and what it truly means to be human, anchored by the growing bond between its two compelling leads.
