In the sprawling, neon-drenched chaos of modern Tokyo, a timid and kind-hearted schoolboy named Akira Fudo undergoes a terrifying transformation after merging with an ancient, demonic entity, becoming the powerful Devilman. Driven by his innate compassion, he vows to retain his human soul and use his monstrous abilities to protect humanity from the demonic hordes now descending upon the city. Alongside his charismatic and hedonistic best friend, Ryo Asuka, who uncovers the dark secrets of the demon world, Akira is thrust into a violent and apocalyptic conflict. As the line between human and demon blurs, and society itself descends into paranoia and depravity, Akira must confront the true nature of evil, both in the monsters he fights and the humans he defends. This visceral and emotionally devastating anime is a hyper-stylized, brutally raw exploration of love, identity, and the apocalypse. With its frenetic animation and pulsing soundtrack, Devilman Crybaby delivers an unflinching, unforgettable descent into madness.
