In the vibrant world of anime and cosplay, high school otaku Masamune Okumura is perfectly content living a quiet life as the sole member of his school's manga club, obsessed with the 2D character Liliel. His peaceful existence is shattered when the new and eccentric exchange student, Ririsa Amano, bursts into his clubroom with an ambitious goal: she wants to be the real-life embodiment of Liliel. As the sole club member, Masamune is reluctantly dragged into helping this "3D girl" navigate the "2.5 dimensional" world of cosplay photography and conventions.
