Brendan Fraser to Hit Broadway, Playing With 'True Blood' Star
Movie

The actor of 'Mummy' movie franchise will hit the Broadway stage for 'Elling' production alongside Denis O'Hare as well as Jennifer Coolidge.

AceShowbiz - "The Mummy" star Brendan Fraser is to make his Broadway debut in the latest run of Ingvar Ambjornsen's "Elling". He'll hit the stage alongside "True Blood" star Denis O'Hare and Jennifer Coolidge in the quirky comedy about two odd recluses who share a state-funded flat together after being institutionalized.

Ambjornsen's Norwegian novels were adapted into a cult Peter Naess' film in 2001. Naess also adapted the story for the stage in Scandinavia. "Elling" was well received by critics in London when it hit the West End in 2007.

Previews of Fraser's "Elling" begin on November 2 this year.

Brendan Fraser's movie "Extraordinary Measures" hit theater in January. He co-stars Harrison Ford, Keri Russell, Courtney B. Vance, Jared Harris, Dee Wallace, Patrick Bauchau, Lily Mariye and P.J. Byrne.
