AceShowbiz - Kacey Musgraves returned to the Coachella stage on Saturday, bringing her signature Texas charm and fresh music during her first festival performance in seven years.
The country star arrived in style, arriving to her set on horseback at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Her previous Coachella appearance was in 2019, where she performed on the main stage promoting her 2018 album Golden Hour.
This year’s set was particularly notable as it preceded the release of Musgraves' upcoming seventh album, Middle of Nowhere, scheduled for May 1. During the performance, she debuted four new songs from the album, offering fans an exclusive first listen.
Musgraves showcased her playful and creative energy especially while performing the lead single "Dry Spell." The live rendition featured vibrant visuals that echoed the song’s official music video, adding a dynamic layer to the experience.
In addition to "Dry Spell," she also performed the title track "Middle of Nowhere," which had just been released the previous Friday. The song’s twangy, banjo-driven sound highlighted Musgraves' clever singer-songwriter style and yee-haw energy.
This return to Coachella marked a significant moment for Musgraves and her fans, blending nostalgia with anticipation for her forthcoming album. The energy and creativity she brought to the Mojave Tent set underscored her lasting impact on the festival’s diverse musical landscape.
