AceShowbiz - Tekashi 6ix9ine has once again taken aim at Young Thug, this time over the rapper’s recent Coachella appearance. After Young Thug showed up at the festival sporting rainbow-colored braids, Tekashi 6ix9ine publicly accused him of stealing a look that he claims helped define his own image.
On Instagram, Tekashi 6ix9ine posted side-by-side photos of himself and Young Thug along with an old video clip, emphasizing that “Young Thug had stole that s-t.” He continued to post more content targeting the rapper, including a video where he mimics an outfit similar to the one Young Thug famously wore on his Jeffery album cover. In the clip, Tekashi 6ix9ine joked that Young Thug copies his style but becomes upset when the roles are reversed.
The tension between the two artists has been ongoing since last year, when footage from an interrogation room involving Tekashi 6ix9ine surfaced online. Additionally, leaked jail calls revealed Young Thug speaking negatively about various rappers.
Young Thug recently energized his Coachella performance with a powerful rendition of Digits, delivering bars that had the crowd fully engaged and enthusiastic. Despite this, Tekashi 6ix9ine continued to criticize Young Thug, particularly taking issue with the rapper’s "F-k The Streets" movement alongside 21 Savage. Tekashi 6ix9ine claimed the movement was an attempt to pave the way for artists to collaborate with Gunna again, a statement that sparked backlash on social media where many labeled him a "hater."
