AceShowbiz - Sam Palladio, the musician and actor best known for his role on ABC's Nashville, has officially signed with 3686 Records, a fresh independent label based in Nashville. This exclusive reveal comes courtesy of Billboard, highlighting the label’s commitment to supporting creative freedom and long-term artist growth.
3686 Records was recently launched by singer-songwriter Levi Hummon and music executive Eric Arjes. The label operates with a distinct "artist-first" philosophy, focusing on creative ownership, brand development, and sustainable career advancement. Reflecting its roots, the label's name is derived from the longitude and latitude coordinates of Nashville.
3686 Records is distributed by The Orchard/Sony, ensuring a robust platform for its artists. As part of this new partnership, Sam Palladio is working on music that leans more toward pop, signaling a fresh direction from his previous works.
Eric Arjes expressed enthusiasm about signing Palladio, stating that his artistry and integrity were clear from their first conversations. He emphasized that the label’s vision was to create a supportive environment for an artist of Palladio’s caliber, with new music that "jumps out of the speakers" and deeply connects listeners to his life.
Levi Hummon echoed these sentiments, sharing excitement about welcoming Palladio to the 3686 family. He praised the new music, describing it as a powerful showcase of Palladio’s growth both as a songwriter and an artist.
Sam Palladio himself spoke about the partnership, highlighting his admiration for the label’s evolution. He described 3686 Records as a collective of passionate creatives who champion great artists and songwriting. For Palladio, finding a Nashville-based home that embraces innovation and supports unique, contemporary artists was crucial.
Having called Nashville home for 14 years, Palladio expressed his excitement about this new chapter alongside Levi Hummon and Eric Arjes, who have shown unwavering dedication to creating exceptional music.
Reflecting on his past work, Palladio discussed his debut album, The Perfect Summer's Day Before We Lost The Light, which paid tribute to his late mother, Sally. The album captured the emotional journey of coping with personal loss while maintaining a pulse that helped him "dance through sadness." This new phase of music, however, will lean more heavily into indie pop influences while still drawing from his British roots.
He described the upcoming music as representing a period of finding stability, reconnecting with himself, and exploring the joys and struggles of the heart when starting anew. Palladio expressed eagerness for the world to hear this new project and to embark on this exciting partnership with 3686 Records.
During his tenure on Nashville, where he portrayed Gunnar Scott, Palladio achieved notable success on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His duet with Clare Bowen, "If I Didn't Know Better," reached No. 27, while their collaboration "Fade Into You" climbed to No. 25. These chart achievements illustrated his crossover appeal as both an actor and musician.
In 2024, Palladio released his debut album, produced alongside Danish producer Søren Hansen and Grammy-winning producer Dave Sardy. His discography also includes tracks such as "Something On My Mind" and "Tennessee," the latter featuring Foo Fighters' guitarist Chris Shiflett.
Besides his musical accomplishments, Palladio has built a diverse acting portfolio. His credits include the Netflix trilogy The Princess Switch, AMC’s Humans, ABC’s Rebel, Showtime’s Episodes, and the Bob Marley biopic One Love. He also appeared in the series The Couple Next Door.
This new alliance with 3686 Records marks a significant step forward for Sam Palladio, as he embraces fresh creative horizons and deepens his connection to the Nashville music community.
