AceShowbiz - Alan Ritchson, known for his role in Reacher, will not face any legal charges following a physical confrontation with a neighbor in Tennessee. Authorities have officially closed the investigation after concluding that Ritchson acted in self-defense during the incident.
According to Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin, law enforcement reviewed extensive evidence, including video footage and witness statements, before reaching the decision. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," Pepin stated. He further emphasized that Ritchson was justified in his actions.
The dispute arose from an altercation with neighbor Ronnie Taylor, who admitted to initiating the physical contact. Taylor acknowledged, "I did push him," and noted the situation escalated rapidly after that initial action. Multiple video angles captured the entire sequence, showing that Ritchson attempted to disengage before the confrontation turned physical.
Captain Pepin also confirmed that while authorities considered filing a reckless endangerment charge, Ritchson chose not to pursue any charges himself. "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges," Pepin explained. As a result, the case is now officially closed with no further legal proceedings expected.
The conflict reportedly began over a disagreement involving a motorcycle within the neighborhood. With the investigation concluded and no charges being filed, officials consider the matter resolved for the time being.
