AceShowbiz - The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is set to arrive on DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray Steelbook on March 31, bringing the animated adventure to home media formats. The Blu-ray Steelbook edition will be available exclusively at Walmart.

Directed by Derek Drymon, the film follows SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends as they embark on an adventure. When an attempt to prove he's a true big guy accidentally summons the fearsome ghost pirate The Flying Dutchman, SpongeBob and Patrick are swept into a wild underworld quest. With colossal challenges ahead and a rescue crew on their trail, SpongeBob discovers that real courage shines brightest when friends face the unknown together.

The voice cast includes Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence. Additional cast members include George Lopez, Isis 'Ice Spice' Gaston, Arturo Castro, and Sherry Cola, with Regina Hall and Mark Hamill also lending their voices to the project.

The home media release will feature several bonus featurettes designed to give fans behind-the-scenes access to the production. "The SpongeBob Ensemble: The Veteran Voices" showcases returning cast members in the voiceover booths, while "The SpongeBob Ensemble: The New Crew" focuses on new cast members during their recording sessions.

Additional featurettes include "The Flying Dutchman: Animated Artistry + Live Acting," which explores how the cast and crew created the Flying Dutchman character, and "From Bikini Bottom To The Underworld," featuring production designers discussing the animation of the Underworld setting. The release also includes the "Big Guy" music video by Gaston.

An official trailer has been released showcasing the animated film. The PG-rated family animation is distributed by Paramount Pictures Corporation and represents the latest theatrical SpongeBob movie release.

The March 31 release date allows fans to own the film on physical media, with the Walmart exclusive Steelbook edition offering collectors a special packaging option. Pre-orders for all formats are currently available ahead of the release date.
