AceShowbiz - Primus have unveiled plans for an extensive European tour scheduled for summer 2026, featuring multiple UK headline shows and festival appearances across the continent.
The band, led by Les Claypool, made the announcement on their social media channels Tuesday evening, confirming their return to European stages with a comprehensive run of dates spanning Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Czechia, Belgium, Germany, France, and The Netherlands before concluding in the UK.
The tour launches on July 31 at Circolo Magnolia near Milan, Italy, before progressing through Eastern and Central Europe throughout August. Notable stops include Warsaw's Masovian Voideship, the Brutal Assaut Festival in Jaromer, and Alcatraz Festival in Kortrijk.
German fans can catch the band at Frankfurt's Batschkapp and Cologne's Carlswerk Victoria on August 10 and 11 respectively, while festival appearances include the Motocultor Festival in France and Dynamo Metalfest in The Netherlands.
The tour's UK leg promises four special performances, beginning with Manchester Academy on August 17, followed by Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom on August 18, and London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on August 19. The European run concludes with an appearance at Bristol's ArcTanGent Festival on August 21.
All headline performances will be presented as "An Evening With" shows, promising extended sets for fans. Tickets become available this Friday, February 27 at 10am, with separate links provided for UK and international dates.
This European tour follows Claypool's ambitious "Claypool Gold" tour, featuring performances across 25 US cities with three different projects: Primus, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. The unique format will see all three groups sharing stages with rotating setlists and special surprises.
The announcement comes after significant lineup changes for Primus, following longtime drummer Tim Alexander's unexpected departure in 2024, which the band described as a "complete shock." After conducting auditions, they selected John Hoffman, a Shreveport, Louisiana drummer with substantial YouTube following.
Hoffman made his debut during the "Sessanta" tour, where Primus joined Puscifer and A Perfect Circle for co-headline dates celebrating Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday.
