AceShowbiz - Cardi B kicked off her highly anticipated Little Miss Drama Tour on February 11 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, and she did not disappoint. Following her commitment to focus on rehearsals since announcing the tour in September, the rap superstar delivered a sensational performance that lasted nearly two hours.
During the show, Cardi showcased an impressive setlist of 37 songs, primarily featuring tracks from her latest album, Am I the Drama?. The first act highlighted fan favorites such as “Salute,” “Check Please,” and “Trophies,” all accompanied by sharp choreography and a team of more than 15 dancers on stage.
While the tour's name hinted at drama, Cardi also made sure to include her most popular hits. She performed her verses from viral collaborations like Ozuna’s “La Modelo” and Bruno Mars’ “Please Me,” along with classic tracks from her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, including “Bartier Cardi” and “Thru Your Phone.”
This marks Cardi B's first solo arena tour, which follows her exhilarating appearance as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The performance of her song “Bodega Baddie” was a crowd favorite, enhanced by a vibrant salsa and merengue backdrop. Throughout the night, Cardi flaunted her stunning figure in six dazzling outfits that captivated her audience.
The Little Miss Drama Tour will continue with shows in Las Vegas and Los Angeles later this week, before Cardi embarks on a cross-country journey that will last until mid-April. Here are some of the standout moments from the opening night of Cardi B's tour at Acrisure Arena. (For the complete setlist, check here.)
ICE on Fire
One of the highlights came when Cardi prepared to perform “I Like It.” As she climbed to an elevated, bridge-like platform, she playfully sang “La Cucaracha.” Once at the top, she scanned the audience and asked, “Any Guatemalans? Any Mexicans?” before delighting fans with her impression of Selena: “Como la floooooor.” This vocal homage resonated with her Latino fans, especially as she had previously engaged the crowd during “Taki Taki.”
In true Cardi B fashion, she added a humorous twist by declaring, “Bitch! If ICE comes in here, we gon’ jump they asses,” eliciting uproarious applause from the audience. “I’ve got some bear mace in the back! They ain’t taking my fans, b–ch.” This moment notably contrasted with her longtime rival, Nicki Minaj, who has recently aligned herself with former President Donald Trump.
