AceShowbiz - Tubi is significantly bolstering its commitment to the creator economy, announcing a substantial slate of original series from a diverse group of popular YouTubers and social media stars. This initiative, part of the Tubi for Creators program launched in June, sees the Fox-owned AVOD service delivering exclusive content from talents like Joey Graceffa, Kevin Fredericks (KevOnStage), Rock Squad, Shuang Hu (TheOneShu), Jahdai Pickett (Bigg Jah), and Dan & Riya. These partnerships underline Tubi's strategy to offer unique, creator-driven programming exclusively on its platform.
Rich Bloom, general manager of creator programs and executive vp business development at Tubi, articulated the platform's vision, stating, “We’re responding to our viewers’ growing appetite for bold, original storytelling by doubling down on exclusive content from digital-first creators.†He further highlighted the positive impact, noting, “The investment is paying off. Viewers who start their Tubi journey with creators show stronger retention — proof that these stories truly resonate with our audience and provide an engaged, incremental audience for creators.†This data-backed approach signals a successful integration of creator content.
Several of these new series are already captivating audiences on Tubi. Viewers can stream KevOnStage's comedy Safe Space, featuring him as an unqualified couples therapist. For teen vampire fans, Rock Squad presents Bloodsuckers: Origins, a prequel to their popular franchise. Additionally, TheOneShu stars in Baby Shu & Fwends, portraying a teenage version of herself in a relatable new show. These early releases demonstrate the immediate impact of the creator program.
The exciting pipeline continues with anticipated premieres. The finale of Joey Graceffa's long-running series Escape the Night is imminent. KevOnStage returns with Bald Brothers: A Freestyle Comedy Show, co-starring Terry Baker. Bigg Jah will debut his comedy anthology L.A.U.G.H. (Life Ain’t Usually Great Here) and a new season of The Lesbian Homie. Finally, Dan & Riya will offer Till Drama Do Us Part, a story about a destination wedding spiraling into chaos. This diverse lineup promises continued engagement.
This significant expansion of creator-led content aligns with Tubi's broader strategic initiatives. The platform recently inked a deal with Kevin Hart's Hartbeat for a slate of creator-driven movies and, earlier this year, extended partnerships with other prominent figures like MrBeast. These collaborations underscore Tubi's aggressive push to establish itself as a leading destination for innovative, digitally native entertainment, continuously diversifying its exclusive offerings.
