The sequel to the 2024 revenge thriller The Beekeeper has begun production, with Timo Tjahjanto taking over as director. Tjahjanto recently shared the first image of Statham in The Beekeeper 2 on his Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into the highly-anticipated action sequel.
The original The Beekeeper grossed $160 million at the box office and received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with scores of 71% and 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively. The sequel is expected to follow a similar story, with Jeremy Irons reprising his role as Wallace Westwyld and Pom Klementieff joining the cast. Statham has been busy in recent years, starring in films like Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre and Fast X.
