Former 'The Bachelor' star Sean Lowe faced a life-threatening situation twice within twelve hours because of unexpected attacks from his newly adopted dog, Moose.

AceShowbiz - "The Bachelor" alum Sean Lowe, 41, shared traumatic events involving his dog in an Instagram video posted on March 17.

While hosting a barbecue at his home with friends, his pet Moose, a rescue boxer, triggered by the loud sound of the smoke alarm, began showing aggressive behavior.

"He shows his teeth at me and just attacks me. I don't mean bite and then run off - like a lot of dogs do when they're scared or defensive - I mean attacks me," Lowe recalled. The initial attack left him bleeding badly and needing stitches.

Just hours later, a second attack occurred when the wind blew open the front doors, and Moose escaped, targeting Lowe once again.

"Going through a dog attack is pretty darn traumatic. Having to relive it less than 12 hours later, seeing that dog running straight at you is a feeling that I don't think I ever want to experience again," he said.

After being injured and stitched up from the first attack, Lowe struggled to fend off Moose and had his flesh torn up once more.

Lowe's friends managed to get him to the ER after both attacks. In total, he had to get stitches in multiple places on his arms. Throughout the ordeal, his priority remained the safety of his wife, Catherine Giudici, and their three young children. "If it were anyone else, he would have killed my children or my wife," Lowe stated.

The reality star emphasized that he doesn't blame Moose for the attacks, attributing the behavior to the dog's past traumas and possible neurological issues.

"It wasn't Moose's fault. I think it's clear he experienced a lot of trauma before we got him and had something neurologically wrong where just a switch flipped and he turned into an absolute killer," Lowe explained.

The couple wanted to clarify the situation to their followers. They had adopted Moose a little under three months ago and were heartbroken by the necessity of removing him from their home for safety. "We miss our dog as weird as that sounds. He was a really, really good dog," Lowe concluded emotionally.
