The location, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the inspiration for the original 1937 film's castle, provided a picturesque background for the scaled-back premiere.

Initially, Disney had planned grand premieres in Los Angeles and London to showcase the $269.4 million production.

However, due to the controversies surrounding the film's themes and cast, including the decision to replace the seven dwarfs with CGI magical creatures and the casting of Latina actress as Snow White, the promo events were significantly reduced.

In Segovia, Zegler performed the original song "Waiting on a Wish" in a stunning white floral dress, embodying her titular character. The event emphasized intimacy, inviting press, content creators, and families from local CSR organizations while conserving media coverage.

Co-star Gal Gadot was notably absent, fuelling rumors of tension between the two actresses. It's no secret that Zegler and Gadot clashed over their views on Gaza conflict, and this was confounded by their onscreen roles.

Israeli activists are not happy with Disney for having Israeli star portray the evil force while Rachel Zegler who supports "Free Palestine" represent the good side.

The decision to modify traditional elements of the fairy tale also sparked a "woke" backlash. Zegler defended the film's thematic shifts, asserting that the new narrative portrays Snow White as a "fearless leader" rather than a damsel in distress.
