Wendy Williams hits back at the Manhattan assisted facility after her niece, Alex Finnie, is accused of kidnapping her from the building amid guardianship woes.

AceShowbiz - Coterie, the $18,000-per-month Manhattan facility housing Wendy Williams which she described as a "luxury prison," recently filed a police report claiming Alex Finnie, 60, abducted her aunt when they left for a dinner at an Italian restaurant in NoHo.

Finnie was accused of "evading staff by taking Wendy out of the building," even though staff reportedly assisted the duo to the lobby and into an Uber.

Finnie was quick to refute the accusations, claiming that they had informed the facility staff about their plans.

"I was told that, at some point, the police were called because the Coterie here was saying allegedly that I took my aunt from this facility and whisked her away without any sort of confirmation or approval," she said.

Wendy Williams doubled down on her niece's remarks, calling the allegation "unbelievable." She told TMZ, "Clearly they are lying to me when they say I can go out and do what I want to do. We are going out to celebrate [life] and this is what has been done to us."

Williams' guardian's attorney, Sabrina Morrisey, has indeed insisted the TV host has no restrictions and can leave the premises as she pleases. Morrisey also asserted that Williams received excellent care, but Williams rebutted, describing her situation as being "imprisoned."

Williams, who has been under guardianship since 2022 due to a frontotemporal dementia diagnosis and allegedly being mentally incapacitated, which she vehemently denied and subsequently proved by passing her most recent mental acuity evaluation with "flying colors."

Recently, her guardianship situation has drawn scrutiny with Adult Protective Services launching an investigation and "elder abuse" allegation being raised.

Financial mismanagement is another issue in this contentious battle. When Wendy Williams attended her dad's birthday in Miami, she was reportedly given an empty credit card.

Williams' battle to break free from her conservatorship continues as she challenges the necessity of her guardianship, especially after performing exceptionally well on her capacity test. A judge will review these revelations in light of the contention surrounding her mental and physical wellbeing.

As Wendy Williams gears up for her first national TV interview since her dementia diagnosis, set for later this week on "The View," all eyes are on her and the subsequent fallout of this ongoing saga.
