The "Mirrors" singer, 44, apologized to his devotees, explaining that he came down with an illness. "You guys. I'm heartbroken. I have to cancel the show tonight," Timberlake wrote. "I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it's gotten the best of me."

Timberlake promised concertgoers that refunds for the Columbus show would be provided, "It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you'll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all."

The reactions from fans were mixed. While many expressed understanding and well wishes for the artist's recovery, others criticized the late notice of the cancellation.
