In a preview for the upcoming season of "The Kardashians," the reality star revealed that she would "never, ever do a roast again" after the brutal audience reception she endured at the 2024 event.
Kardashian, who was greeted with a chorus of boos upon taking the stage, expressed her frustration with the relentless and crude jokes aimed at her personal life. "This is so f***ed up," she lamented while preparing for the Met Gala. "It's just like the easiest joke. They would have said it about anyone."
"Am I supposed to sit there and be like, 'How innovative, you called me a w****,' " she scoffed.
The offensive jokes came from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who famously insulted Puerto Rico during a 2024 Donald Trump rally. "She's had a lot of Black men celebrating her end-zone," Hinchcliffe quipped, referring to Kardashian's high-profile relationships. "Kim, word of advice: close your legs. You have more public beef than Kendrick [Lamar] and Drake."
Kardashian herself took the stage to deliver her own comedy chops as a tribute to Brady who was rumored to be dating her at the time, but she was immediately jeered at by the crowd. Following the roast, Netflix removed the audience's boos from the special, which had originally aired live.
"The Kardashians" will explore Kardashian's reaction to the incident, including whether she personally requested the edits.
