AceShowbiz - Comedian Hannah Berner, known for her appearance "Summer House", has clarified a joke she made about Blake Lively on Netflix's "Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year". She explained that the set was filmed before the actress revealed alleged harassment by her co-star Justin Baldoni.
In a statement on her Instagram Stories, Berner explained, "My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before news of the lawsuit." She went on to declare her allegiance to the "Gossip Girl" alum, "To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo."
The joke, "The word 'c***' was trending this year. I don't think Blake Lively was that bad," refers to Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni, which alleges that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her after she reported misconduct on the set of their movie "It Ends with Us."
Lively's legal team claimed that Baldoni led a "public attack" on her "with an intent to silence her from speaking out about the hostile environment" on set. The actress has stated that the alleged retaliatory tactics have caused her "severe emotional distress."
Baldoni's attorney has denied the allegations, calling them "categorically false."
