The Duchess of Sussex has showcased her impressive Spanish-speaking abilities in 'Polo,' which follows professional polo players and features a brief appearance by her and Prince Harry.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle made a cameo in the Netflix docuseries "Polo". The series, co-produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Archewell Productions, immerses viewers in the world of professional polo, featuring legendary players and benefitting charitable causes.

The five-part series follows some of the world's greatest polo players, including Prince Harry, as they prepare for the 2024 U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. It is in the final episode where Meghan makes her appearance, showcasing her impressive Spanish-speaking skills.

In one notable scene, Meghan greets Argentinian polo legend Adolfo Cambiaso. Prince Harry boasts, "She's fluent in Spanish," prompting Cambiaso and Meghan to converse in the language. Meghan, who lived in Palermo Viejo in Buenos Aires 20 years ago while interning at the U.S. Embassy, confidently reminisced about her time in Argentina.

The Duchess's language skills have been honed over years of international experiences, including studying abroad in Madrid. Her fluency in Spanish also impressed during a trip to Colombia with Prince Harry, where she addressed schoolchildren and attended a panel discussion uplifting Afro-Colombian women, all in Spanish.

Her speech at the event was particularly notable. Meghan started in Spanish, expressing her heartfelt appreciation for Colombian culture and hospitality. She stated, "The culture, the history - all of it was a dream - this trip was a dream. I can feel this community, and this is the feeling that is the best thing right now." Her genuine engagement and language proficiency were met with widespread applause.

Beyond her linguistic abilities, Meghan's presence in the docuseries underscores her commitment to supporting Prince Harry. As executive producers, the couple brought energy and passion to Polo. Showrunner Miloš Balać highlighted their collaboration, noting, "Polo is one of Prince Harry's greatest passions. It seems that Meghan has adopted it as one of hers too, just in terms of being his partner."

Despite the star power of Harry and Meghan, much of the series, dubbed "the Nacho show" by insiders, focuses on Argentinian player Nacho Figueras. While this has led to some criticism, Meghan's moments in the series are undeniably captivating, showcasing her as more than just a royal, but as a globally-minded and culturally connected figure.

With the Netflix deal expiring next year, it remains to be seen what fresh endeavors Harry and Meghan will embark on. However, their work on "Polo" emphasizes a commitment to projects they are passionate about, with Meghan's bilingualism adding a unique and personal touch.
