AceShowbiz - Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian may need to heighten their security. According to a new report, a real mountain lion was spotted hanging out around "The Kardashians" stars' Hidden Hills neighborhood.

Sources revealed to TMZ that on Wednesday morning, December 4, the big cat was seen in a tree just a few houses down from Kris' mansion. The dangerous animal is said to be casually weaving in and out of tree branches before darting right back up to the tree shortly after.

The news outlet claimed that Hidden Hills residents are in full panic mode following the shocking, yet brief sighting of the wild cat. They're understandably concerned by their kids and pets' safety. It was also said that the neighborhood's Round Meadow Elementary School took a precaution, locking down for a while until the big cat has been confirmed to be out of sight.

The folks in the gated community were allegedly blowing up Fish and Wildlife's hotline and were told that the agency is taking a hands-off approach due to a state policy. The agency is unable to tranquilize or remove the lion mountain, whose speed can hit up to 50 mph, because the animal is natural turf.

On the other hand, a representative for CA Department of Fish and Wildlife told TMZ that it's not unusual for mountain lions to show up near residences, particularly in areas around wild animal habitats. The rep additionally shared that the agency avoids interfering with wildlife movements whenever possible as they're acting as a conservation and natural resource management agency.

The rep, however, noted that there are rare circumstances when CDFW might relocate a mountain lion to the nearest suitable habitat as they evaluate reports on a case-by-case basis. That being said, the agency claimed that the best solution is to let the mountain lion leave on its own without human interference.
