AceShowbiz - Kanye West has unveiled a music video for "Bomb", which is coming off "Vultures 2". Released on Wednesday, November 27, the visuals features his daughters North and Chicago West, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The clip for the song, which also features Yuno Miles, sees North and Chicago driving Tesla cyberstrucks around a post-apocalyptic landscape. The two are being chased by furry beasts in Mario-esque go-karts.
North dons a fur hoodie as she tools through some barren terrain. On the song, North mostly raps her verse in Japanese. Chicago, meanwhile, sounds like she's freestyling as she talks about having fun and going to the beach. "(It's Chicago)/ It's Chicago, you know I'm the one/ I like to have fun/ I like to go to the beach," Chicago sings. "I like the sun/ You know it's Chi/ I only wave when I'm telling them bye, bye."
Ye himself doesn't make an appearance in the visuals for the song, which is credited to the rapper's ¥$ duo with Ty Dolla $ign.
Upon watching the music video, fans were not really impressed. Some people pointed out that the video seemingly was AI-generated. They also criticized Ye for involving his daughters in his project. "Just because you have money doesn't mean you're kids have any talent [sic]," one person said.
Another joked, "This is the kardashian equivalent of putting your kid's artwork on the fridge." One other critic noted, "The nepo baby equivalent to kids performing in their living rooms. But instead of only grandma watching, it's millions of their parents' followers."
Not digging in the music video concept, someone described "Bomb" as "the kind of weird music when you wake up in the middle of the night and forgot to turn off the TV." Someone sarcastically added, "I felt Chicago when she said 'I like to go to the beach, I like the sun.' "
