Production for season 3 of the hist HBO series, which stars Zendaya among others, is set to resume in January, but some cast members' roles remain uncertain.

AceShowbiz - In a recent interview at the Governors Awards, Storm Reid confirmed that she will not return to "Euphoria" for its third season. She played Gia, the younger sister of Zendaya Coleman's Rue, in the first two seasons.
"I'm very excited for season 3," Reid told Rotten Tomatoes. "Unfortunately, Gia's not returning to the third season, but I am so, so indebted to the cast and crew of that show, to HBO. 'Euphoria's a really special thing and I'm so glad that that's a part of my legacy and that I was a part of such a cultural phenomenon."
Colman Domingo, who portrays Ali Muhammed, Rue's sponsor, has reportedly been confirmed to return for Season 3. However, he admits to knowing little about the upcoming season's details.
"Apparently, I will be back for Season 3," Domingo said in an interview with Variety. "I don’t know anything about the scripts. I don’t know anything about the production date. But allegedly, Ali is back. From what I’ve heard."
HBO has declined to comment on Reid's departure.
Production for "Euphoria" season 3 is scheduled to begin in January. The season will consist of eight episodes and is rumored to take place approximately five years in the future. According to HBO boss Casey Bloys, all of the show's core cast members are expected to return.
Other cast members who have expressed their involvement in season 3 include Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, Maude Apatow, Dominic Fike and Javon Walton. Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat in the first two seasons, previously announced her departure from the show.
