Elon Musk was less than impressed with Dana Carvey's recent impression of him on 'Saturday Night Live,' dismissing the show and comedian through a series of critical tweets over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk didn't hold back on his social media platform, X (previously known as Twitter), about Dana Carvey's latest portrayal of him on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). Responding to a fan's inquiry, Musk bluntly commented, "Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey."

"SNL" first post-election episode tried to satirically get on the good side of President-elect Donald Trump. The skit involved cast members Bowen Yang, Ego Nwodim, Kenan Thompson, and Heidi Gardner offering their "support" to Trump in a parody format.

Nwodim noted, "the results were shocking and even horrifying," adding that without "guard rails" from the Supreme Court, Trump's potential power is unchecked. Yang emphasized the lack of protection for those who speak against Trump. Carvey then made his entrance as a "Dark MAGA" version of Musk, new to the role after his previous five seasons impersonating President Biden.

Musk's criticism didn't stop at Carvey's portrayal but also extended to the show itself. He tweeted, "SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality." He further criticized the show, stating, "Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further."

This comment refers to the controversial appearance of Kamala Harris on SNL, which had drawn scrutiny from FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr albeit erroneously regarding equal time provisions. In response to the controversy, NBC provided Trump with free commercial time.

Bill Burr, who hosted the episode, opened with his own commentary about the election process, expressing relief that it was finally over. "Everybody knew who they were voting for four years ago and then they just drag you through a year and a half of this stuff," Burr remarked, mirroring the fatigue felt by many Americans.

Overall, Musk's reaction highlights his dissatisfaction with SNL's current direction and its portrayal of political and public figures. His pointed critiques have emphasized a broader commentary on media bias and the struggle for balanced representation in entertainment.
