AceShowbiz - After several pushbacks, Princess Theodora, the fourth child of the late King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie, finally wed her fiancé, American lawyer Matthew Kumar, in a ceremony held on September 28. The wedding reflected their love for their country Greece and their desire to share its culture and hospitality with their guests.
The couple exchanged vows in the same church where Theodora's parents married in 1964. The groom's family and Theodora's brothers, Crown Prince Pavlos and Prince Philippos, served as groomsmen, while Princess Maria-Olympia and Arrietta Morales de Grecia were bridesmaids.
Guests included Prince Bekedikte of Denmark, Princess Nina and Prince Philippos, Princess Alexia and Carlos Morales, and the five children of Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal. As they arrived, the crowd cheered for the royal family members.
Following the ceremony, Theodora and Matthew exited the cathedral to the applause of the crowd. They kissed for their fans before departing in a Range Rover. Their reception was held at the One and Only Aesthesis Hotel, a significant venue that hosted the wedding reception of Theodora's aunt, Queen Sofia of Spain.
Prior to the wedding, the couple celebrated with an intimate pre-wedding event at the Byzantine Museum.
Princess Theodora, born in 1983, is an actress who has appeared in the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." Her engagement to Matthew Kumar was announced in 2018. Their wedding, initially planned for 2020, was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the death of Theodora's father in 2023.
