AceShowbiz - Shannon Sharpe could turn his shame into fame. After he mistakenly recorded and broadcast himself engaging in a sexual activity, the former NFL star has received a lucrative offer from an adult film site.
According to TMZ Sports, The Porn Dude, an XXX website that gets tens of millions of views monthly, is ready to welcome the 56-year-old should he want to make a career change. The porn site is willing to give him $100,000 if he's on board to film himself on camera for the site.
"We would love to offer him a solid $100,000," the porn site said on Wednesday, September 11, "to see him avoid the t**s and p***y defense and see him score the ultimate BBC touchdown on our set." They further quipped, "If he's looking to make a career change, tell him we've got a jersey ready for him!"
Shannon set tongues wagging on Wednesday morning when he accidentally turned on Instagram Live while he was having an intimate intercourse with a woman. In the video, a woman could be heard making moaning sounds. While the camera shows nothing but a wooden floor or bedpost, viewers can hear a few smacking sounds.
The former wide receiver initially claimed his Instagram account had been hacked in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Beware my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working vigorously to figure this out," he wrote in the since-deleted tweet.
He later came clean about it in an emergency episode of "Nightcap" on Wednesday night and admitted that he was to blame for the incident. "Obviously I am embarrassed," he said. "Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details - the audio - heard for the entire world to hear, I'm embarrassed for a number of reasons."
"There are a lot of people that count on Shannon to be professional at all times and I always try to be professional at all times, even when I'm behind closed doors," he explained himself. "I'm very disappointed in myself, not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age that engage in activities, but for the audio to be heard I'm disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down."
Shannon said that the event occurred because of his lack of technological knowledge. "My phone wasn't hacked. It wasn't a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male," he added. "Ya'll thought I was bulljiving, Unc get it in."
"I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity," the 56-year-old said on the show. "I did not know IG live. I've never turned IG live on so I don't know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off."
Upon realizing the mistake, Shannon said he got "agitated." He shared, "Man, my heart sank. It dropped."
