Five years after the tragic passing of the actor, the 'Wednesday' actress shares a sweet memory of their final encounter in a recent interview with a French outlet.

AceShowbiz - Jenna Ortega, the star of "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", has opened up about her poignant final moments with her late friend, Cameron Boyce. The two young actors had known each other since they were children, and they crossed paths again for an audition when they were teenagers.

During a recent interview with the French outlet Canal+, Ortega recounted a moment that transpired during their audition. They were supposed to kiss, but Boyce, who was a few years older than Ortega, sensed her discomfort. "He obviously felt weird... we both just kinda looked at each other and we were like, 'No, we can't do this,'" Ortega recalled.

"It was so sweet because I was uncomfortable and I was having a hard time. And then, we wished each other well," she added. Ortega expressed her gratitude for Boyce's sensitivity, saying, "I was really thankful and grateful that he did that."

Cameron Boyce tragically passed away in his sleep in 2019 at the age of 20, leaving a void in the entertainment industry and among his friends and family.

Ortega's account of her final encounter with Boyce highlights the actor's kindness and empathy. His legacy continues to be honored through the Cameron Boyce Foundation, which aims to cure epilepsy through research, education, and awareness campaigns.
