AceShowbiz - GloRilla faced a problem during her performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. When taking the stage in front of a star-studded audience, the "Yeah Glo!" raptress suffered from a wardrobe malfunction.
On Wednesday, September 11, the 25-year-old female hip-hop artist made an appearance at the award-giving show, which was held at the UBS Arena in New York. During the big event, she also entertained the packed audience.
Glo, who was rocking a glittery black bra top, stepped on the stage to belt out some of her songs, including "Yeah Glo!" and "TGIF". While delivering "TGIF", she was joined by many female dancers on the stage. She was showing off her skills in dancing and even doing complex choreography.
At one point, Glo's top was about to fall off. Upon learning of the fashion faux pas, she quickly held it with one of her hands while holding her microphone in her other hand. As she continued rapping and dancing, one of the dancers noticed the malfunction.
The dancer, who was standing next to Glo, then tried to fix the faux pas while standing right behind the spitter. Seemingly realizing that the malfunction could not be fixed on the stage, the dancer decided to hold Glo's top together, making sure that it would not fall down and expose the rapper's upper assets until the end of the performance.
Short clips from Glo's performance were uploaded by a blog via Instagram, prompting social media users to comment. Many of them showered Glo and the dancer with praise for handling the wardrobe malfunction like a pro.
In the comments section, one in particular wrote, "Her dancer needs a raise, that was great staying in character while stopping a malfunction! Glo just love her!" Similarly, another chimed in, "Her dancer that jumped in and held her top together deserves a raise!!" A third exclaimed, "Yassss! And do you see how she handled that malfunction??!?!?! Get eM GLO! She killed it."
