Argentine singer-songwriter Fito Paez has been forced to postpone his September concerts in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Bogota due to a domestic accident in which he broke five ribs over the weekend.

"On Sunday morning, I had a domestic accident that resulted in the fracture of five ribs," Paez revealed in a heartfelt statement on his Instagram and X accounts.
As a result of this unfortunate incident, the acclaimed Argentine musician has been compelled to cancel his much-anticipated September shows in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Bogota. "I find myself unable to face the upcoming September concerts in DF, Guadalajara, and Bogota. My entire office is rescheduling the concerts for the coming months," he continued.
The creator of timeless hits like "El Amor Despues Del Amor," "Yo Vengo a Ofrecer Mi Corazon" and "Tumbas de la Gloria" remains optimistic despite the setback. "A stumble is not a fall. Thank you for your patience. I love you very much!" he added. No further details regarding the accident have been provided.
The affected shows form part of Paez's 2024 El Amor Después del Amor Tour. Among them was a free concert scheduled for Saturday, September 7, at the Zocalo in Mexico City, the country's largest and most significant public square. Additionally, Paez was set to perform on September 19 at the Auditorio Telmex in Guadalajara and on September 21st at the National Auditorium in Mexico City. In Colombia, he was scheduled to grace the stage at the Cordillera Festival 2024 on September 15.
Upon hearing the news, Mexico City's secretary of culture refrained from issuing an immediate comment but mentioned that a statement would be forthcoming. In the meantime, fans and followers of Páez are left to send their well-wishes and eagerly await the rescheduled dates for his concerts.
