AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" has been full of surprises, including an unexpected delight from her dad, Scott Swift, who treated fans to fresh chicken tenders during a recent London show.
On August 17, Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" made headlines not just for its stellar performances but also for a unique gesture from the pop star's father, Scott Swift. TikTok user Stephanie Niemiec from New York City posted a video capturing the moment she and her friend received chicken tenders from Scott in the middle of the concert at Wembley Stadium. "Scott handing out chicken during ['Style'] somehow makes sense," Niemiec wrote over the video, referring to Taylor's hit single from her iconic "1989" album.
"Thank you for the chicken," Niemiec cheerfully said to Scott in the video before confirming, "The chicken is fresh." She later tagged Taylor in her caption, humorously noting, "Tell your dad thank you, it was just what I needed."
Scott's choice of snack is speculated to be a nod to a viral moment from September 2023 when Taylor was spotted eating chicken tenders at a Kansas City Chiefs game while supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The photo, which featured Taylor posing with a plate of chicken and condiments, became an internet sensation, thanks to the fan's caption: "Taylor Swift was eating a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch!"
As Taylor's "Eras Tour" continues its run through Europe, the surprises keep coming. On August 15, Ed Sheeran joined his longtime friend on stage for a special set during the surprise songs section. The duo performed "Everything Has Changed", "End Game" and Sheeran's ballad "Thinking Out Loud", much to the delight of the audience.
Another highlight of the tour was when the "Lavender Haze" singer appeared to hint at the impending release of "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" during her August 17 show by mimicking a snake-like motion to bid her fans goodbye.
