AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla's friendship has blossomed since their collaboration and Hot Girl Summer Tour earlier this year. In a recent episode of Instagram's "Close Friends Only" podcast, the duo revealed their initial impressions of each other.
For GloRilla, her first meeting with Megan at the Houston Hottie's "Hottieween" party was somewhat intimidating. She shared, "I ain't gonna lie, I was kinda shy..." before jokingly roasting Megan, "You were just acting like you weren't drinking that night… I'm like, 'This b***h ain't acting like she ain't drinking, like, What's up with this b***h?' "
GloRilla remembered Megan being incredibly kind and giving her "a grandma hug from side-to-side." She, however, added, "You come off as standoff-ish," before quickly clarifying, "You come off like you nice, but you standoff-ish. So that's why I told you I was shy."
Megan, on the other hand, was uncertain of what to expect from GloRilla initially. "I really didn't know what you was gonna be like before I met you," she admitted. "I was like okay, from afar, you was turnt, but I didn't know how turnt it was gonna be... But then when I got to know you, I was like, 'Yes, this might be my cousin! This is my people!' So yeah, I thought you was really sweet too, and I thought you was funny as hell."
Their friendship deepened during the tour with gestures that showed their genuine affection for each other. Megan surprised GloRilla with flowers on her birthday, and GloRilla reciprocated in Houston by presenting Megan with a custom "M" plaque.
These touching moments have been met with enthusiasm from fans, with Megan posting on Instagram, "I love the bond that me and @glorillapimp have built in these past few weeks! You are my sister 4L , you and cola never getting rid of me."
GloRilla replied, "I luv you 4L Meg [heart emoji, teary-eyed emoji] I'm so glad I got to do dis tour with you I wouldn't have had it no other way [party emoji] I can't wait for dem to hear dat hot shit ahhhh so excited."
Since its release, their collaboration "Wanna Be" has enjoyed significant success, maintaining a strong position on the Billboard Hot 100, where it currently sits at No. 13.
