AceShowbiz - Report that Pete Davidson checked out from a mental health facility after two-week stay has been debunked. Despite the claims, the comedian/actor is said to be still receiving treatment at the rehab.
Making the new revelation was a source close to the "Saturday Night Live" alum. "Pete remains in his treatment program and would appreciate privacy at this time while he focuses on bettering his mental health," the source told Page Six on Wednesday, August 14.
It was previously reported that Pete ended his rehab stint after two weeks. A source spilled to The Sun that the 30-year-old star left the unnamed program "the other day."
The publication also noted that "Bupkis" star entered the institution after he had "gotten rid of everyone who once surrounded him." It was also said that "everyone" close to him is "done" with him.
Another report, meanwhile, claimed that Pete checked himself into a rehab facility last month due to his heartbreak over split from Madelyn Cline and "unpredictable" behavior. "Pete is miserable most of the time," an insider shared, adding that the only time the comedian is "truly happy" is when he's working and on stage performing. However, his "Prehab Tour", his only project at the time, was canceled even though it was supposed to run until October.
Of "The King of Staten Island" star, the source continued saying, "Pete doesn't have stability in his life right now. He does better when he has his s**t together and things are stable. For the first time in his career, things are unpredictable and that's what's been so stressful for him. There is a lot of pressure that comes along with uncertainty and that stress can lead to bad thoughts."
The former boyfriend of Kim Kardashian allegedly wanted to prioritize his mental health even if he had to cancel his tour which led to fans' disappointment and financial loss. "He has to be in the right mind-set to get on stage and perform in front of thousands," the source explained. "He kind of puts on a front on stage because that's his happy place, so sometimes people don't even know what he's seriously going through because he jokes about his life and he laughs along with his fans."
