AceShowbiz - In the Monday, August 12 episode of "The Bachelorette", Jenn Tran eliminated Sam McKinney, despite initially giving him the First Impression Rose. Sam's puzzling answers during a group date and subsequent one-on-one conversation left Jenn feeling confused and frustrated.
During the group date, Sam's response to the term "Fantasy Suite" as "aggressive" raised eyebrows. He then admitted that Jenn was not his initial type and that he had expected Daisy Kent or Maria Georgas to be the Bachelorette.
Sam's unconventional answers continued during his one-on-one with Jenn, where he claimed his "love" for her was based on a single toast she made. He also stated that he could tell Jenn was selfless because she was "either selfless or full of s**t."
Jenn questioned Sam's motives and his understanding of her. His inability to clearly explain why he loved her specifically made her doubt his authenticity. She also felt that he was prioritizing their physical connection over genuine connection.
After a tense conversation in which Sam repeatedly insisted on his love, Jenn reached her limit. She expressed concerns about "this disconnect" and the similarities to a past relationship that she had ended.
With a heavy heart, Jenn bid farewell to Sam, leaving him to pack his bags and head home. She later confided in the cameras, "I don't know exactly what love is, but I know that is not what love is." She admitted to being "mad" for misjudging Sam's intentions, which she realized were primarily physical.
Despite the departure of three suitors, Jenn kept her options open for Hometowns. She awarded roses to Marcus, Jeremy, Jonathan and Devin, while sending Spencer and Grant home. The remaining men will have the opportunity to introduce Jenn to their families in the next episode.
