AceShowbiz - Russell Wilson is all about love. On Monday, August 5, the NFL star took to his social media account to pay tribute to Future, his wife Ciara's son with rapper Future, to celebrate the young boy's new milestone.
On X, formerly Twitter, Russell posted a picture of young Future alongside a message that read, "I'm full of Joy! Nothing better than seeing you smile & become a young man." He added, "I am so proud of you Future!"
The quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers continued, "Working as a ball boy for the @Steelers & in Locker Room. Being so dedicated to sports and everything you embark on! You're the sunshine of my life. I love you. Keep Winning son! There is nothing you can't do w/ Jesus on your side! Love you to Heaven & Back!"
Upon catching wind of Russell's heartfelt message, fans immediately showered him with praise. "Just US that had been blessed to be loved by amazing step parents knows this feeling," a fan wrote in an Instagram comment.
"When a man now a husband, loves your child as much as he loves you!!!! That's winning on all levels," another gushed. One other noted, "Who wouldn't love and appreciate this relationship?"
Someone, meanwhile, joked, "Not the step father but the father that stepped up." One fan, on the other hand, simply called Russell the "best step dad ever."
Russell, who shares three kids with Ciara, has been getting candid about being a stepfather for Future Jr. Back in February, the 2014 Super Bowl winner said on the "I Am Athlete" podcast, "When you're raising children, you've got to love every single child as if they're yours," adding that it's been a great gift to raise Future Jr, Sienna, Win and now Amora. He sees no difference between them.
Recalling a touching moment when little Future Jr, then only nine months old, he added, "I remember leaving that night … and God said to me, 'Raising this child it's going to be your responsibility." Of becoming a stepfather, he said, "It was scary just in the sense of - not scary - but it was more so of an opportunity. Like, 'OK God, this is what you want me to do? This is, you know, stepping in to raise, you know, a child with C?' "
