AceShowbiz - Barron Trump has attended his first-ever campaign rally. Following in his older siblings' footsteps, the youngest child of Donald Trump has shown his support for his father, who is running for the upcoming presidential election, by attending one of his rallies.
The recent high school graduate made his campaign rally debut at the event held in Doral, Florida on Tuesday, July 9. The 18-year-old did not speak a word, but received standing ovation as he stood up, waved to the crowd and gave a thumbs-up before raising his fist in the air, a pose that his father is known for.
"That's the first time he's done it. That's the first time, right?" Donald proudly said of his youngest son from the podium. He then joked, "You're pretty popular, he might be more popular than Don and Eric, we gotta talk about this," comparing him to his two oldest sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. "Hey Don, we gotta talk about this."
"So Barron, it's good to have you. Welcome to the scene, Barron," Donald continued. "He had such a nice, easy life. Now it's a little bit changed." The former U.S. president continued, "He's now going to college, got into every college he wanted to. And he's a very good guy, I'll tell you that."
"You know, I'm not allowed to call them boy but he is my boy, they're all my boys," the 78-year-old went on speaking of his sons. "When you have sons they can be any age, they'll always be your boy."
The teen was invited to become a delegate for the 2024 Republican Presidential Convention, where the GOP is set to officially nominate his father as its presidential candidate for the November election, as a representative of Florida. However, his mother Melania Trump said that Barron turned down the offer due to other plans.
"While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments," read a statement by the former first lady as reported by the Daily Mail.
