AceShowbiz - British comedian Tony Knight lost his life after a falling tree branch struck him at a festival in France. On June 7, while attending the Rock & Cars festival in Lavaur, France, Knight tragically met his demise after being hit by a large tree branch.
As revealed on a GoFundMe page set up by his family, Knight was 54 years old at the time of the accident.
He was reportedly on his way to the south of France, where his loved ones eagerly awaited his annual return. However, fate had a different plan for the comedian. "Tony had been in France only a few days before he lost his life attending a festival with his friend Pascall, and never made it home," a family member wrote.
Knight was described as a vibrant and lively individual, "fit, healthy, happy and had everything going for him." He possessed an infectious personality and was deeply cherished by his partner Hayley, family, and friends worldwide.
As per eyewitness accounts, two branches fell from a tall tree, striking Knight and four others. Amid fair weather conditions without signs of inclement weather, the incident has left the attendees in shock and disbelief. Knight was the only fallen victim.
In addition to his comedic talents, Knight was also known for his exceptional work with dogs. As a "Dog Listener," he dedicated himself to assisting dog owners worldwide with problem behaviors without resorting to force or harsh methods.
Knight's untimely passing has shattered dreams, as he was scheduled to tour with his standup show "Mad Dogs and an Englishman" in both Australia and the U.K.
A GoFundMe page has been established to provide support for Knight's partner, Hayley, during this devastating time. The family has expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of love and condolences received from those who knew and appreciated Tony's remarkable talent and spirit.
