AceShowbiz - Kris Jenner has disclosed a personal medical challenge. The 68-year-old matriarch reveals that she needs to undergo surgery to remove both of her ovaries due to the discovery of a tumor.
During an episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians", the 68-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family shared her emotional news with her daughters, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.
"I went to the doctor and I had my scan... they found a cyst and like a little tumor on my ovary," a tearful Kris explained. "And so I went to the doctor and Dr. A said I've got to have my ovaries taken out."
Kris expressed her sadness over the prospect, saying, "I'm emotional about it because that's where all my kids were conceived and that's where they were grown in my tummy, and so that's a very sacred place to me."
Her daughters showed empathy and support. Kim remarked that it was a "really big deal" and that she felt "really sad" for her mother. Kourtney, who joined the conversation via video call, shared her understanding and said she would experience the same emotions.
Kendall, the only Kardashian-Jenner child yet to have children, had a more pragmatic perspective. While she recognized the emotional significance, she questioned their continued usefulness and suggested they should be removed if they were potentially harmful.
As the family discussed the news, Corey Gamble, Kris' longtime boyfriend, attempted to uplift her spirits with a luxurious gift, a new Prada coat. Kris joked, "It's amazing how new clothes fix everything."
Kris, who has six children and 13 grandchildren, emphasized that she would remain strong during this health journey. "I'm gonna be OK," she reassured her family.
New episodes of "The Kardashians" air Thursdays on Hulu.
