AceShowbiz - James Gunn's "Superman" film titled is currently filming, with director Gunn providing regular updates to keep the hype alive. In his latest Instagram post, the director shared a picture from the set.

In the image, Gunn posed with some cast members of the upcoming superhero movies, including Nathan Fillion and Skyler Gisondo. "Hanging on the set of #Superman with some of my favorite people," he captioned the snap.

The film will introduce David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, who will reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. Gunn has shared several behind-the-scenes photos, including one of Corenswet wearing Superman's iconic suit, featuring the "S" symbol on his chest and red boots.

The cast also includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. Production recently moved to LaGrange, Georgia, for scenes at the Kent Farm, which has always been Superman's home in previous iterations.

Gunn has emphasized that "Superman" will focus on Clark Kent's dual life, suggesting that other superheroes will join him as his "super friends." However, details about their involvement are yet to be revealed.

Regarding the DCU's new era, Gunn has clarified that while he has taken inspiration from Marvel's approach, he is creating a unique universe that is more planned out and includes morally complex characters, akin to "Star Wars" and "Game of Thrones".

With filming over halfway done, "Superman: Legacy" is set for release on July 11, 2025. The highly anticipated reboot promises to bring life to a new chapter in the Superman legacy and launch a fresh era for the DCU.
