After admitting that she didn't want to cancel her 5 shows in 2022 despite knowing that she tested positive for COVID, the 'Poker Face' hitmaker is highly criticized by many.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa found herself in hot water following her shocking confession. After bragging about performing live when she was sick with COVID, the "Poker Face" hitmaker was highly criticized by many social media users, including one who deemed her "disgusting."

On Friday, May 24, the 38-year-old Grammy-winning singer became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter, due to her recent revelation about taking the stage when she was ill. On the social media platform, X users did not think twice to voice their thoughts on the matter, with some slamming the songstress.

One in particular blasted GaGa, "That is genuinely disgusting and irresponsible." Similarly, another chimed in, "Just a selfish and sick woman who only cares about money. Mind you, she was literally walking through crowd during some songs."

Meanwhile, a third wrote, "No! She needs to be sued, that is so irresponsible! Not only can it be fatal but the milder variants can have crazy side effects. I lost my sense of smell for days, some never got there's back!" A fourth added, "If anyone's family member passed away from Covid after going to a Gaga concert I guess now is the time to sue."

The backlash came shortly after GaGa made the shocking confession. When making an appearance at the premiere of her concert special "Chromatica Ball" in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 23, she admitted that she chose not to cancel five shows of her "Chromatica Ball" tour in 2022 despite knowing that she tested positive for COVID.

During a Q&A session, GaGa stated, "I did five shows with COVID." She recalled, "I shared it with everyone on my team and I said, 'I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work and you don't have to perform and you don't have to work that day, but I'm going to do the show.' "

On the reason why, GaGa explained, "Because I just didn't want to let all the fans down. The way that I saw it also is that the fans were all putting themselves in harm's way every day coming to the show." She then recounted, "During all my quick changes, I kept going, 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.' "

At the movie event, GaGa also talked about her upcoming album. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she spilled, "I have been working on my new music all the time and I truly live and breathe it. I just can't wait to give it to the fans. They hate when I say, 'Soon,' but soon." About her and Beyonce Knowles' "Telelphone" part two, she teased, "Whenever Beyonce calls, I'd like to pick up the phone."
