AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton's mom is trying to protect her daughter amid the family's financial issues. If a new report is to be believed, Carole Middleton doesn't want the Princess of Wales to get harmed amid the issues.

"Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery," a source revealed to Us Weekly on Thursday, April 4. "It's a very worrying time for the family but they are not looking for any assistance from their children and don't want them to worry."

The source went on saying that the wife of Prince William and "her parents are very close and they always check in with each other, but talk about the business is off limits as she needs to focus on her health."

Royal commentator Afua Hagan also revealed that Carole didn't want to burden Kate, who is currently battling cancer. Carole allegedly would be doing "all she can" to prevent the mom of three from "stressing."

"It's a stressful time at the moment and she will be pulling out all the stops to shield her daughter from this," Afua shared. "Party Pieces has collapsed and it's been devastating for the family, but Carole will be most concerned about Kate's well-being right now."

It was recently reported that Carole and her husband Michael Middleton are in more than $300,000 debt. It was also said that the couple is struggling to pay off the money after their business, The Party Pieces Company, went into administration last year.

The company reportedly failed to come up with the "£260,000 (over $329,000) insolvency firm costs" that they owe. Last June, it fell into administration with over £2.5 million ($3.16 million) of debt.

While the rest of the Middletons are dealing with the money issues, Kate is currently completing her cancer treatment. In a video shared last month, the royal revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer after an abdominal surgery in January.
