Elsewhere in his monologue, the actor/comedian, who wore an Artists for Ceasefire pin at the Academy Awards, talks about the upcoming election by joking that 'our next president should be a trans woman.'

AceShowbiz - Ramy Youssef got political when hosting the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live". During his monologue, the "Poor Things" actor called for a free Palestine and the release of the hostages taken in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

"This is an incredibly spiritual weekend. We're in the holy month of Ramadan. Tomorrow is Easter. And yesterday, [Beyonce Knowles] released a new album," the 33-year-old began. "There's just so many religions celebrating all at once."

Ramy went on to note, "In my friend group, I'm one of the only guys who prays. I'm friends with a lot of sinners, like, just disgusting people. And they call me when they're in trouble because they want me to pray for them." He then remembered one of his pals Ahmed asking him to pray for his family in Gaza.

"So that night, I go to pray and my prayers are complicated. Got a lot to fit in. God, please help my friend's family. Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence," the comedian, who wore an Artists for Ceasefire pin at the Academy Awards, said. "Please free the people of Palestine, please. And please free the hostages, all the hostages, please."

Elsewhere in his monologue, Ramy talked about the upcoming election. "I don't like either option to be honest with you," he quipped, before adding, "I really think our next president should be a trans woman... You know what I mean? Like, that would be amazing."

In the March 30 episode of "SNL", Ramy was joined by Travis Scott (II) as a musical guest. The rapper delivered two songs from his 2023 album "UTOPIA" during the show, including, "My Eyes" and "FE!N". Travis brought Playboi Carti to perform the latter.
