The '90210' star has filed legal documents to officially end her marriage after more than a decade of relationship with estranged husband, citing irreconcilable differences.

AceShowbiz - After months of marital turmoil, Tori Spelling has officially filed for divorce from Dean McDermott. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Spelling initiated the divorce proceedings on Friday, March 29, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for seeking a dissolution of their marriage.

Spelling is seeking sole physical custody of their five minor children while requesting joint legal custody. She is also asking the court to require McDermott to pay her attorney's fees and provide financial support.

In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, McDermott revealed the underlying causes that led to their separation. He admitted that the couple's sleeping arrangements had become problematic after Spelling brought pets into their bedroom, causing him to move to another room. Isolation and the lack of intimacy eventually took a toll on their relationship.

McDermott also attributed his substance abuse issues as a contributing factor to their marital breakdown. He felt he had isolated himself from his family and had given up on the relationship. McDermott has taken accountability for his actions, expressing regret for the damage he has caused.

Sources close to the couple had hinted at their separation in recent months. In June, McDermott posted a since-deleted Instagram announcement, revealing their decision to go their separate ways. However, a source told People that McDermott is "100 percent serious" about the divorce and is currently packing his belongings.

Spelling and McDermott have weathered ups and downs throughout their 18-year marriage, including McDermott's infidelity. However, the strain on their relationship became increasingly evident after Spelling posted a holiday card without McDermott in December 2021.

Despite their marital woes, the couple has remained dedicated to co-parenting their children. They have agreed to work together and provide a loving and supportive environment for their family through this difficult time.
