"Nana gasped like she just saw a car wreck," Musgraves recalled on "Today's Country Radio." Barbara exclaimed, "No! That's not... that's a cover?"
Undeterred, Musgraves explained her artistic vision, describing the photo of her curled up naked on the ground as "vulnerable and almost like rebirth." However, Barbara had her own perspective, "Kacey, you're a singer, not a stripper."
