After releasing a statement to express that he's 'heartbroken over the tragedy,' the Kansas City Chiefs star is spotted all smiles when taking a picture with an officer while walking into a restaurant.

AceShowbiz - Travis Kelce appears to be still in good spirits after a deadly shooting in Kansas City, Missouri. The NFL star was spotted all smiles while snapping a selfie with a cop, just hours after the tragedy that marred the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, February 14.

In photos surfacing online, the tight end was walking into Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar when two police officers noticed him. They wanted a selfie with the 34-year-old athlete, who obliged as he was seen posing just outside the restaurant.

Wearing a red tracksuit and matching pants, the tight end stopped for a while and flashed a smile while one of the cops snapped their selfie. The boyfriend of Taylor Swift also flashed a victory sign with his hand, before he walked into the eatery.

According to TMZ which obtained the pictures, the photos were snapped a little before 7 P.M. CT, several hours after the shooting. Travis reportedly joined his teammates inside the restaurant.

Shots rang out near Union Station earlier in the day, just after the Chiefs parade wrapped up. One person was killed and at least 22 others were wounded, but the Chiefs have assured that all players are safe.

"We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of today's parade and rally. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and all of Kansas City," the team said in a statement.

"We are in close communication with the Mayor's office as well as the Kansas City Police Department. At this time, we have confirmed that all of our players, coaches, staff and their families are safe and accounted for," it added. "We thank the local law enforcement officers and first responders who were on-scene to assist."

Travis, who was reportedly drunk during the parade, released a statement via X, formerly Twitter, following the incident. It read, "I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me."
