While the Slim Shady would love to have a reunion with his frequent collaborator, it's unlikely to happen anytime soon because they are still busy with their own projects.

AceShowbiz - Eminem is making new music - but it isn't for a joint album with 50 Cent. The "Lose Yourself" rapper doesn't know where the rumour came from, but he said he's been trying to get the "In da Club" hitmaker to do an album with him for a while to no avail.

"I'm working on a little something," he teased of his own music plans when speaking on SiriusXM radio station "Shade 45".

Addressing the rumoured album with the "Candy Shop" rapper, he said, "I don't know where that's come from, but it's crazy."

"I'm trying to get him to make a new album so bad. We need another 50 [Cent] album, like, really bad. 50's on a roll right now. He's been on a roll since the tour. I told him whatever the [redacted] he needs from me, I'm here. That [redacted] be crazy, though - an album with me and him."

The pair - who have collaborated on several songs together over the years - are, however, known to be working together on a TV adaptation of Eminem's movie "8 Mile". Eminem, 51, discovered the 48-year-old hip-hop star after he dropped the mixtape "Guess Who's Back?" in 2002, and subsequently signed him to his label Shady Records.

Shady's last studio album was 2020's "Music to Be Murdered By", which later received a Side B deluxe edition.

Meanwhile, 50 previously teased a joint album with Dr. Dre. Speaking on "Big Boy's Neighbourhood", he said, "I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear."

"This is my process, I'll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he'll have something… He's always had something."
