The 'Good 4 U' hitmaker is looking forward to drinking champagne at her upcoming birthday party as she finally reaches the legal age to down alcohol beverage.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Rodrigo can't wait to "pop some champagne" on her 21st birthday. The "Good 4 U" singer hits the milestone age on February 20 and she is planning to celebrate the "big" occasion in style.

"It is a big birthday. I think I'm gonna have a party with my friends and pop some champagne, you know? It's the 21st!" she told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 14th Annual Governors Awards when asked about her birthday plants.

But Olivia is planning to save another typical 21st birthday tradition for a later date. She said, "No Vegas, not yet. I'll save that. I'll save that for later."

The "drivers license" hitmaker walked the red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 9 in a vintage black gown because she felt the "classy" dress perfectly suited the Hollywood "vibe."

She said, "This feels like Hollywood. This feels star-studded. I'm happy. This [dress] is vintage YSL. I just thought, you know, it seems classy. We're at an Oscars event, so that's the vibe. I love movies, I love watching movies so much - going to the movie theatre is like my favourite thing ever. So it's always fun to kind of have a night where filmmaking is celebrated."

Before her birthday, Olivia will be attending the Grammy Awards on February 4 and while she's nominated in six categories, she admitted she's happy just to have been invited. She exclaimed, "I'm so ready! I'm so excited. I'm such a big fan of the Grammys."

"I grew up watching them all the time. My mom and I used to make predictions of who we thought were gonna win. So just being able to attend is a dream come true. And the fact that I'm nominated is just, like, out of this world."
