The actor portraying Oren Lennox on the Netlix series reveals that doctors will remove most of 'a fairly decent sized' tumor in his brain after he's diagnosed with a stage 2 Glioma.

AceShowbiz - Barton Cowperthwaite is set to undergo a brain surgery amid his health problem. The actor portraying Oren Lennox on "Tiny Pretty Things" opened up about a procedure that he is going to do after he was diagnosed with stage 2 brain cancer.

On Saturday, November 11, the 31-year-old star uploaded via Instagram a video explaining that he is required to undergo a brain surgery and noted that it isn't "cheap." He revealed that he and his family "have decided" to create a GoFundMe page for those who have offered to help him and his family.

Barton went on to elaborate, "It will go towards food, rent and whatever I'm not really able to cover while I'm recovering from brain surgery. It'll go towards any medical expenses that insurance doesn't cover." As of Monday, November 13, the donation has reached $73,886 from its $100,000 target.

On Friday, Barton revealed the diagnosis on his Instagram page and let out a selfie capturing him in a hospital room. Along with the snap, he penned, "So…. Yesterday I was diagnosed with at least a stage 2 Glioma. It is a fairly decent sized brain tumor. The tumor's cells originate in the brain, so it's not spread from a cancer anywhere else in the body."

"The only course of treatment for something like this is brain surgery," he continued. "Docs so far have been confident that they'll be able to remove most of the tumor, and that after a successful operation, and some rehab, I will be operating like my (amazing, talented, brilliant, hilarious) self. That being said it seems like scans and check ups will be apart of my life for its lengthy remainder."

Barton further shared, "My family and I are taking several days to get second opinions. Planning to go into surgery middle or end of next week. I'll do my best to be open about the journey on here. I am planning on fully bouncing back to be better than my former glory! Please feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to stay connected with as many people as I can." He then concluded, "All my love," adding a blue heart emoji.
