The film and TV producer's father Edward Turen confirms the devastating passing of Kevin, who co-founded Little Lamb Productions with Sam and Ashley Levinson, in a statement.

AceShowbiz - Kevin Turen, who was known for his works on "Euphoria" and "The Idol", has died. A new report revealed that he died suddenly over the weekend at the age of 44. Meanwhile, no other details, including his cause of death, have been disclosed.

His father Edward Turen confirmed the film and TV producer's devastating passing in a statement. "Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him," Edward said of the late producer, whose credits also included Ti West's "X", "Pearl" and "MaXXXine".

Jay Penske, CEO of PMC and a close friend of Turen, also addressed Kevin's death in a statement, saying, "Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin's greatest passion was his family and friends. He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world."

Penske added, "Our collective heart breaks for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today."

Producer Cassian Elwes wrote on X, "A good friend and true indie film maker died tonight too young. I'm so sad. Hold your love ones close. Life is precious and fleeting." He added in a separate post, "What people don't realize is actually Hollywood is a small town. Everyone eventually meets everyone. The indie film circuit of people who consistently make indie films is even smaller. We all know each other really well because we are kindred spirits. We lost a very important person in our circle tonight."

Born in New York City in 1979, Kevin studied at Columbia University, graduating with a degree in English and Critical Film Studies. He made his producing debut on the 2005 indie film "Wassup Rockers" from director Larry Clark. Later in 2018, he co-founded Little Lamb Productions along with Sam and Ashley Levinson.

In addition to "Euphoria" and "The Idol", Little Lamb Productions produced 2021's "Malcolm & Marie", which stars Zendaya Coleman and John David Washington. It also produced John Boyega's "Breaking" and HBO's miniseries "Irma Vep" which stars Olivier Assayas.
